Thursday 18th December 2008 - On 5th December 2008, the DGA (French armament procurement agency) issued a purchase order to Nexter for the delivery of 116 infantry combat armoured vehicles (VBCI). This order brings the total number of vehicles ordered to date to 298 VBCIs. The DGA has accepted the first 41 vehicles in accordance with the initial schedule.

Versailles Satory, December 17th, 2008 - Nexter has just finished upgrading 108 AMX 10P tracked armored personnel carriers ahead of the initial schedule. This upgrade was carried out in six French Army infantry regiments. The last armored vehicle was returned to the 92nd Clermont-Ferrand Infantry Regiment on October 23, 2008.
